Hodlnaut KYC Verification Guide
Hodlnaut is a FinTech company that provides financial services to individual investors where they earn interest on their deposited cryptocurrencies. For all accounts created with us, users would have to go through an identity verification procedure, also known as KYC (Know-Your-Customer).
KYC is a mandatory process that is required by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). It helps to prevent illegal activities and reduce customer risk by verifying that users are real. We will only use this data for regulatory compliance purposes and is kept strictly confidential. This verification process would take 5-10 minutes of your time.
Below is the step-by-step guide:
Step 1: Log in to Your Account
• Go to https://app.hodlnaut.com/ and log in to your account with your email and password
Step 2: Start the Identity Verification Process
• An Onboarding Guide would prompt up. Please click on “Complete KYC”
Step 3: Fill in Your Personal Details
• Fill in your information in the “Personal Details” section and once you’re done, click “Save and Continue”. Please double check your details before submitting.
Step 4: Fill in the Questionnaire
• Complete the “Questionnaire” by selecting appropriate answers to the questions.
• Click “Update Details” when you are done.
Step 5: Verify Your Residency
• The “Residency” section requires you to provide information on your country of residence and address.
• At the bottom of the form, input your local phone number and click “Get OTP”. A verification code will be sent via a text message. Key in the code to complete the phone number verification.
• Do take note that a working local phone number is needed to verify your country of residence. Please ensure the phone number provided matches the country of residence.
Step 6: Complete Your Identity Verification
• We use Jumio to complete this identity verification process.
• A valid government-issued photo ID is needed for the identity verification. You may use a passport, identity card or a residence permit.
• Please have your ID ready and click “Start”.
• Select the choice of your ID and click “Take Photo”
• If you prefer to use your mobile for this process, please click on that option and scan the given QR code using your mobile.
• Please make sure to enable camera access when prompted. All your details should be clear and visible in the photo.
Step 7: Continue Your Face Verification
• You will be instructed to do some movements such as turning your head to the right or nodding up and down.
• When you have successfully submitted your ID and face verification, you will be shown this page.
Step 8: Submit Proof of Address
• Submit documents that list your address. This can include bank statements and utility bills.
• Please ensure that your document meets the following requirements.
After submitting your documents, the identity verification is completed! It usually takes 1-2 business days to approve and you will receive an email about your verification status.
